CBC’s The National: HERstory in Black: Giving back

Former CCAS youth in care Anayah Phares and her former foster mother Sandra Davis were featured on CBC's The National as part of a grassroots initiative called HERstory in Black. Anayah tells how having a loving foster mother changed her life and how her experience of aging out inspired her to found an initiative called Creating Hope and Ensuring Excellent Roads to Success (CHEERS), which connects youth living in foster care with young adults who are enjoying success after living in foster care.
